Students - why volunteer? You’re a self-starter and want to make a difference in your community. You don’t mind working independently, and starting a community outreach program that will have your imprint on it sounds exciting.
You’re patient, fairly computer and Internet literate, and most importantly, care about helping others. You can make a commitment to spend a couple months helping at each Independent Living Facility you choose to help and respect anyone that is interested in improving themselves. You’re friendly and outgoing - and it doesn’t hurt that there are recognition programs that enables Senior Connects to thank you for touching the lives of others. If you are a high school or college student (or an extraordinary middle school student that is 13 years of age or older) - we invite you to check out this website to determine if the Senior Connects program is right for you. And you want to be able to email your friends and family members or even show your grandkids a couple of tricks that you’ve learned on the computer. You want to be able to use the Internet to search on topics that are important to you: the latest health information,

what’s happening in the world, or what the headlines are in the city where your grandkids live.
